Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on the Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra.

The 20-year-old midfielder has attracted the attention of the North London club with his performances and a report via TeamTalk claims that Tottenham view him as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg if the Denmark international leaves the club.

The 28-year-old has been linked with the move away from Tottenham owing to the lack of regular game time. He needs to play at this stage of his career and sitting on the bench at the North London club is unlikely to benefit him.

Meanwhile, Guerra is highly rated around Europe and he has a bright future ahead of himself. He could be a key player for the North London club in the coming seasons. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can secure an agreement with Valencia.

The midfielder has a €100 million release clause in his contract, but he will be made available for a fee of around €50-60 million. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay up for him.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be quite attractive and Guerra will want to compete at a high level. Tottenham can provide him with the platform and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Regular football in the Premier League could help the 20 year old midfielder improve and fulfil his tremendous potential. Tottenham have done well to groom talented young players over the years and they could help the Spaniard develop as well.
