Insufficient Entries: Golden Gate Cancels Second Friday Program

For the second time in the past three weeks, Golden Gate Fields has cancelled a Friday card of live racing due to insufficient entries, reports the Daily Racing Form.

The track was unable to card races for April 19 due to a lack of entrants, and now will not host races on May 3. General manager David Duggan told DRF that future Friday cards will be considered on a "case-by-case basis."

Golden Gate Fields will close permanently on June 9, 2024.
